face: dark eldar scourge wip

today's WIP is of the face of my current project: a dark eldar scourge. it is slightly different from the norm as instead of  it being  the normal sort of face it is almost purple (look at it!) ( yeah the lighting is terrible!)

dont ask about the wing, just dont :P

i used the brightest highlights on the forehead and jawbone

80's hair (that had to be toned down, here it was just too bright!)

so thats it :)

i was in the local GW today painting, (and i must say the staff were very helpful in helping me improve! :D) and decided i needed a model to play about with freehand! so i impulse bought a autarch.

autarch #1

arfter opening him up i noticed that there was a hole in the base, a freindly staffer and some liquid GS fixed that!

then i noticed that there was only 1/2 a shoulder pad. so the manager comes over and arfter a quick inspection gives me another autarch for free :D

autarch #2's massive shoulder (how many protien shakes does he have ? :L) 

his beard of fail and twisted hat!

p.s. GREAT TRADEGDY! my hairdresser  said she'd take 1/2 a inch off my bucket of fuzz (mini afro!) but she, she,................

toaday some more DLC was released for DOWII

death korps of krieg skin for the IG: very nice indeeed!

note the new russ, I CAN HIT them with my sword :D

a unusual =][= and some odd looking orgyns (that should have some sleaves IHMO)

and some word bearer skins: sadly not as pretty

i have a hat thats made out of plastercine :D 

and finally something unexpected: TAU for DOWII last stand!

heres the armour for my pre hersy death guard :D , any suggestions to make it more........ something i just cant put my finger on it :s 

painting wise:

metals chos black/boltgun metal > boltgun meatl/miothril

armour: fortress grey- > white, black wash, grey line highlight -> white line highlight!

yes that is a tiny skull on his gun :)

Scourge conversion: simple but effective ! :D

hi :) toniught/day its a showcase of a simple dark eldar scourge  conversion. made to look like the classic vampire from the WHFB range :)

so here he is a simple conversion of trimming down the wing, GS'ing the gap and GS the back :)

simple and effective :)

today is my photos of my GDUK entry, a NMM banner bearer , i put about 20H work in on this guy so i was really disappointed when he didnt even make first cut ( and how cheats did*)
